WAX PROTOCOL

BIBC has issued the Application of the Biathlon BC Wax Protocol (“wax protocol”) and it will be enforced for this event. This protocol will apply to all Senior Boy/Girl and IBU category biathletes at a cost of $2.50 per pair of skis. This amount will be included in the competition fees for these categories.
Competition skis must be dropped off and picked up at the Ski Wax Protocol Location, during the times identified in the Event Schedule within this invitation. The Ski Wax Protocol Location will be at the Telemark Nordic Club; precise location will be provided at the Competition Office.
Clearly label each ski with the athlete’s name and phone number (on top of ski just in front of the binding) prior to dropping the skis off. When the skis are picked up, they will have a sticker with an identifying number on them (not the bib number). A list will be available at ski pick-up to ensure the correct number was applied to the skis. This sticker must remain on the skis until the skis are checked at equipment check on the morning of the competition, and must not be removed until completion of the race.
Neither the Telemark Nordic Ski Club, nor BIBC, will be held responsible for skis not picked up during the times identified in the Event Schedule.
Any athlete in the applicable categories who competes on skis that have not been through the wax protocol will be disqualified.
