Okanagan Zone 3 Cadet Biathlon Competition Sunday December 30

*Squadrons/Corps may only enter a maximum of 10 cadets in the official competition.  Those squadrons/corps that have more than ten cadets in their program may enter racers in the unofficial category to give the cadets experience in a biathlon race.  Unofficial competitors may NOT win spots on the team representing the zone in Mount Washington.  In the event of illness or injury, unofficial competitors may be substituted for official competitors up to one-half hour before race time by contacting the race secretary.

Each Squadron/Corps is responsible to provide lunch for their team on race day.

Bib pick up: 8:30 a.m.

Zero: 9:00 a.m.

Race Start: 10:00 a.m.

Saturday, December 29, 2012 Training

  •  The range will NOT be open on Saturday for training as this is reserved for Telemark programs.
  • Cadets may ski at Telemark on Saturday but MUST purchase their own trail passes at the Telemark Chalet.
  • Officers skiing with their cadets MUST also have their own ski pass.
  • Saturday mornings are very busy at Telemark and the parking lot is extremely full due to the regular Telemark ski programs.  If you are traveling by team bus, you will not get the bus into the parking lot in the morning.  Saturday afternoons are not as busy.
  •  Telemark has a limited number of rentals and many of those are reserved for the local squadron.  It is advisable that you arrange to bring your own gear.
  • Telemark has limited food for sale.  Noodle soup, granola bars, hot drinks and similar items.  Please bring your own food beyond these snacks.
