Well, well, well, what an amazing weekend it has been! Not only did our Telemark athletes have a successful Games alongside team mates from Thompson Okanagan, but they also had FUN doing so!

Plus, hot off the presses! Kira Friesen placed 3rd in the CALFOREX Super Sprint at Edmonton Nordic Centre. That is an awesome result in a strong field of competitors. Go Kira!

Special mention goes to Catherine who competed in a mixed zone two-person relay and got 1st place! Way to go everyone!

Telemark’s Cross Country skiers on the Thompson Okanagan team also fared well at the Games with athletes Sofie Steinruck 3rd in Juvenile Girls Classic Technique, Nathan Achtem 2nd in Juvenile Boys Classic Technique and Finn Redman 3rd in Midget Boys Sprint Free Technique. Plus, Nathan, Sofie and Finn joined Ruby Serrouya from Revelstoke in the 4x2km relay team to take Gold for Thompson Okanagan! Well done!

Congratulations to all our athletes wherever they are: racing in Alberta, competing at these Games and putting in the training hours right here at home. Special thanks to parents and coaches. High-fives to Coaches John McNern and Liz Ariano for their outstanding work to keep the athletes focused and ahead of the power curve. Special thanks to Scott Hanry who was Chief of Range, wax tech and emotional support! Hoorah!
